Apple Crumble
Yield:
4 Servings
Notes:
The Pampered Chef claims that this and their other Small Oval Baker recipe are preparable in a toaster oven of equivalent temperature. This is probably notable in their belief that one might have a toaster oven of such quality. I suppose if you are a Pampered Chef type, you've got a quality toaster oven I suppose. As for me, I have never been so fortunate.
Ingredients:
2 medium granny smith appples, cored and sliced into bite-sized chunks
2 Tbl granulated sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 Tbl butter
1/4 all purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3 Tbl oats, quick or old fashioned
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 375F. Toss with sugar and cinnamon and deposit in oval or other 4 cup casserole. Microwave butter for 30-40 seconds or until melted and to it mix the flour, brown sugar, walnuts and oats to make topping. Sprinkle toping evenly over apples and cook 30-35 minutes or until apples and topping are done.
